I think I just broke my lappy... ;___;

So woooow... it's been a while since I posted anything here. Today is the second to last day that I will be house sitting for my friends. I'm pretty much hanging out, watching Mystery Science Theater 3000. I wish I could watch more Fringe, but I can't find the other disks :(

I don't think we will ever have a clear answer to this one. There are LOTS of examples of how environment can affect the way someone grows up. Children certainly need stability and love to grow and develop into productive members of society. But there are examples where people have been exposed to all sorts of trauma and survived it just fine. I know from my own experience, I was missing a lot when I was kid and lived a some what chaotic experience. Yet I grew up and went to college and have done pretty well with my life.

On the other side of things, there are cases when kids have been given everything they could ever want and have still gone bad. So I can't say it's always the environment... sometimes it's like it was fate.

I tend to believe it's a combination of the two. Such as the argument that violent TV and video games makes people violent. (Which would go under the environment argument.) I grew on violent video games and TV and I'm not out shooting people. Yes, I can't say everything ends with me... but MILLIONS of people have this similar experiences and they too are fine.

I tend to believe that those that have other factors in their lives, are the ones that tend to take the violence too far. People with childhood traumas, or that are just "rotten".

That's my opinion on the topic. I'm tired of people blaming TV, video games, and music for the way society is today. There is more involved and until we take responsibility for that, it will never change.

You are QUITE right, people do need to QUIT butchering the English language.

My amazingly talented friend gave me a copy of a book about HIM. It's called HIM His Infernal Majesty by Reinhardy Haydn and was copy righted 3 years ago. I've only managed to read a few pages of it, but I adore the slew of Ville quotes through out it's 123 pages.

Here is what I call, my daily Valo musing:

I hate the fucking internet right now! I fucking hate all technology!! Is it so much to want to browse the internet without fucking internet exporer trying to shove pop ups in my face?! I don't know what I did to allow those bastards access but they need to go the fuck away! I don't even use internet explorer!!!

And then fucking fire fox has to close on me repeatedly, till it finally decides to LOSS all of my windows!!

I am so beyond frustrated right now and had to walk away before I threw my computer out of the window.

So, I decided to try a new theme on here and I'm totally glad I did! I love it! Though I still wish I had one of those badass custom ones. ~Sigh~ I would love to open LJ and see Spock's pretty face staring back at me. lol I might even write something for the person who could make that possible. ;)

My first placement is offically over, and while I am both sad to leave and anxious to move on to my next placement, I am well aware of how I have changed in the last few months. One thing is for sure, I have neglected my internet buddies! I've missed everyone! Please know the pain and suffering has been worth it. Here are some quotes from my 5th grade students, taken from their 'thank you' cards....

"I am very sad you are going away. I've well, not just me the whole class learned so much from you and your amazing fun teaching skills."

"Your a great student teacher and you'r going to be a great teacher. Thank you for playing games with us."

"Thank you for being our student teacher you were literally one of the best it was a great time learning, math, social studies, and science with you. I had a great time it was so FUN. Have a great life."

p.s. I feel like a hypocrit grading my students grammar and spelling here, when I messed up students' and writing on facebook. xD I rock!

It has been a really long time since I posted anything on here. Life has been busy as I prepare for student teaching next semester. My last semester here-Whoot! I recently went to the first ESO (expanding social opportunities) dance of the semester. Some of the students from my field placement were there... which made it an even more enjoyable evening. Which reminds me... I have to send people the pictures I took. I wish I could share them with you, but I don't want to violate any confidentiality issues that might arise. I have some super cute pictures of Walken that I might post soon too.
